Auto Electrician
Hours: 39 hours/week – Monday to Thursday 7:30am – 4pm & Friday 7:30am – 3pm
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum depending on experience.

Our client is looking for an experienced Auto Electrician with a mechanical interest. This is great opportunity to receive on the job training with excellent long term career opportunities.
As a successful Auto Electrician, your duties will include but not be limited to:
- To use electronic diagnostic equipment to diagnose electrical issues within a vehicle and make / modify electrical harnesses.
- The ability to conduct auto electrical tasks on modern specialist vehicles
- Wiring up of electrical components and installations of wiring looms
- To examine vehicles and diagnose non-routine defects, or additional faults either in the workshop or during road tests
- Ability to use related tools to a good standard
- Conducting fault finding and diagnostic work, when necessary, on all
- Install new interior electrics this includes GPS, Camera systems etc
- Install high voltage batteries into our Electric Sweepers
- Ensure all work is completed safely and complies with retailer, manufacturer, and industry guidelines
- To utilize the Company’s facilities and processes to maximize your productivity on vehicles
- Ensure all correct paperwork is completed and accurate records maintained
- Ensure that all the equipment provided by the Company is kept in good condition and in full working order.

- Contribute to maintaining a high level of housekeeping and attention to health and safety issues to create a healthy and safe working This includes ensuring that personal belongings and work-related tools and materials are kept in the designated areas.

Person Specification
Essential
- Effective Communication
- Able to read and understand electrical circuit drawings
- Previous auto electrical experience on HGV
- Motivated/Driven
- Able to effectively absorb knowledge
- Able to work with minimal supervision
- Can-Do attitude
Desirable
- Understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics & electrical circuits
- Apprenticeship in mechanical engineering or similar
- Clean driving licence/LGV
- Professional appearance and presentation
