Location – Dorking
Hours – 16 hours per week (flexible shifts) over Monday to Sunday
Pay – £10.45 per hour
Our client is a country house set in a peaceful wooded valley, surrounded by rivers, woodland and Outstanding Natural Beauty. They are looking for a housekeeping and catering assistant to join their team, you would be working within the kitchen, service and housekeeping sectors, to ensure a smooth running of the duties and all the areas are clean and tidy for visitors at all time.
The hours are flexible and can be split shifts, from 4, 6 or 8 hours in one day, all depending on if client needs and how busy the site is.
Responsibilities
- Routine and additional cleaning or preparation of the learning location for all users: including bedrooms, corridors, public areas, staff areas, classrooms, bathroom, shower and toilet facilities
- Getting the customer accommodation ready, making bed, folding towels, and restocking tea/coffee making facilities.
- Keeping on top of laundry in a timely manner – operating machines and pressing (training will be given) as well as making sure cupboards are tidy and organised.
- Helping to serve and prepare the food, breakfast lunch, and dinner. sorting teas and coffees. keeping up cleanliness or kitchen, storage areas, washing up all dirty plates.
- Laying tables and cleaning dining room after meals.
Person Specification
- Positive and passionate work attitude
- A flexible approach with a willingness to adapt to changes
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritize work to meet tight deadlines
- Basic Food Hygiene certificate
- Catering/and or Hospitality experience
- First Aid Qualification
- Ability to use standard office software and technology
