Retail Assistant

Location: Dorking

Hours: 5 days a week at 7.5 hours per day (Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday) (Sunday and Wednesday off)

Holidays: 28 days p.a. including bank holidays

Salary: £23,985

Our fantastic client based in the heart of the Dorking town centre are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Retail Assistant who wants to grow a Career in fashion.

Full training will be provided, and experience is not essential.

SHOP DUTIES:

• Keeping the shop clean and tidy
• Maintaining product displays
• Use of till and credit card machines
• Use of computer for customer and stock records
• Help and advise customers with choices
• Help and advise customers with sizing (use of tape measure at times)
• Fashion Styling
• Answering the phone

BACKSTAGE DUTIES

• Use of sewing machine and pressing (ironing) table
• Preparation of customers’ outfits
• Maintenance of stock
• Cleaning, steaming and ironing of clothes
• Cleaning and polishing of shoes
• Keeping workroom and stockroom clean and tidy
• Ensuring all stock is kept and replaced in its correct place
• Basic clothing alterations (using machine and hand-sewing)
