Located in a modern, specialist locally based School our client is looking to recruit a Chef to join their Catering Team. Using delicious fresh produce your primary objective will be to provide wholesome food for both the residential and non-residential Students and Staff. Working as part of a Team you will jointly be responsible for the organisation, preparation and cooking of meals, that’s for both, regular and specialist dietary needs.
The successful applicant will be a Chef with experience of working in a professional catering environment who has good food preparation skills and proven experience of preparing and delivering “fresh” and “timely” food. The successful candidate will be qualified to City & Guilds 706/1 / 2, or NVQ/QCF Professional Cookery levels 1 & 2, and will have a comprehensive understanding of current Health, Safety, and Hygiene legislation. Working a 39-hour, week that’s Monday to Friday with “NO” Weekend or Split Shift working, the post offers the following salary options, either: –
- 39 hours per week term time plus 3 weeks in the holiday periods (10 weeks off) – includes alternate weekends – salary £20,892 per annum
- 39 hours per week term time only (13 weeks off) – includes alternate weekends – salary £18,993 per annum
- 39 hours per week time time plus 3 weeks in the holiday periods (still 10 weeks off) – Monday to Friday only – salary £18,994.80 per annum
- 39 hours per week time time only (13 weeks off) – Monday to Friday only – salary £17,268 per annum
In addition, both salary options include a comprehensive package of Health Cash Plan, a Perkbox discount scheme, Life Insurance, Pension and Occupational Health schemes.
