Located in idyllic rolling Hampshire countryside, just a short distance from the old market town of Alresford our client a small private boarding school and study centre are looking to recruit a confident, experienced Chef de Partie who is passionate about producing, that’s from their own productive organic Kitchen garden, a full range of delicious, well-balanced and nutritious Vegetarian food for both its Students and Residential Staff. Note experience in preparing and cooking Vegetarian food is not deemed essential as training will be given.
Cooking everything from scratch, that’s from the Bread through to the Sweet course, as part of the Kitchen staff you will prepare and cook the daily lunch and supper menu’s for around 120 covers. As a keen, efficient and tidy Chef de Partie you will readily demonstrate an ability to work well as part of a close-knit, friendly team. Your principal duties will extend to: –
- Preparing and cooking the daily lunch and supper menu’s for around 120 covers
- Undertaking daily and weekly cleaning regimes of both the Kitchen and Store areas
- Completing scheduled Temperature Control and Health and Hygiene checks
- Assisting with new stock deliveries
- Conducting stock taking checks of the cold room and dry stores
The successful candidate will be fit and healthy, possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and will, as part of a Team, readily work calmly and professionally. Working a 37.5-hour week, (8am to 3pm), that’s 5 over 7 days and 52 weeks a year, the position of Chef de Partie will, STE, pay between £20k to £22.5k per annum STE this includes a package of statutory entitlements and benefits.
