Located in a modern, specialist locally based School our client is looking to recruit Chef’s to join their Catering Team. Using delicious fresh produce your primary objective will be to provide wholesome food for both the residential and non-residential Students and Staff. Working as part of a Team you will jointly be responsible for the organisation, preparation and cooking of meals for students with complex dietary needs.

The successful applicants will be Chefs with experience of working in a professional catering environment who have good food preparation skills and proven experience of delivering “fresh” and “timely” food for both, regular and specialist dietary needs. The successful candidate will be qualified to City & Guilds 706/1 / 2, or NVQ/QCF Professional Cookery levels 1 & 2, and will have a comprehensive understanding of current Health, Safety, and Hygiene legislation. Training and development opportunities are readily supplied for the best candidates.

Working a shift rota which will include a combination of “Term Time hours” Monday to Friday only 7am to 3pm or 11:45am to 7:45pm, and during “School Holidays periods” 5 over 7-day working 10am to 6pm, the Chef positions will, STE, pay between £19,454 and £21,483 / annum and include 35 days Annual Leave plus Bank Holidays.
