Working for a well-established Specialist Contract Catering Company our client is actively seeking to recruit a Commis Chef to join their well-established catering team, who based in a facility near Godalming in Surrey, are looking to recruit a proven Commis Chef to join their full complement of kitchen staff. Assisting the Head / Sous Chef your principal duty will be preparing and cooking menu items whilst, at all times, ensuring the company’s reputation for food quality is maintained.
The successful candidate will have experience of working in a professional catering environment; will have good working knowledge and skills in preparing “fresh” and “timely” delivered food. Your duties will extend to: –
- Planning, preparing and cooking menu items as directed by the Sous / Head Chef.
- Assisting in the development and planning of menus.
- Assisting with stock taking when required.
- Carrying out the smooth and efficient running of your section
- Ensuring the customers are given a prompt and efficient service
Please Note: Under taken by the Client, all successful applicants will be expected to undertake a DBS clearance.
Working 48 weeks per annum, 40-hour week, 5 over 7 days with NO splits, but rotating over early shifts, (06:30am to 3pm), and late shifts, (11:30am to 8pm), the Commis Chef position will pay £15,360 /annum. A package of statutory entitlements will be included.
