Job Description

Our client, a leading independent IT reseller, who provides IT security products and services to a large and rapidly growing client base throughout the UK and Europe are actively looking to recruit a IT Graduate Engineer, who with development and mentoring will evolve into a technically competent Deployment Consultant.  Once developed into this role you will spend up to 40% of your time in the field providing and developing strong Customer relationships, therefore excellent communication skills are essential.

Working within the Technical Services Team, which provides a wide range of proactive and reactive Customer Service Support, as the Deployment Consultant, your role will be to oversee the implementation of systems into the Customers infrastructure or hosted platforms. Your accountabilities will extend through the Inception, Hardware build, VMare installation and Customer configuration and integration stages.

Once developed the IT Deployment Consultant will have excellent hands-on IT skills and experience of “enterprise” deployments that’s within the field of security technologies. The role will, in the fullness of time require the ability to mentor and develop other members of the team and may include overseeing a number of projects carried out by other vendors or service providers. As a Graduate Engineer you will be looking to develop or have some experience of working within an “enterprise environment” and will equally be keen to gain knowledge and administration experience of :-

  • Bluecoat WSS / SWG
  • Encryption technologies (disk encryption, secure email)
  • Email hygiene and email infrastructure (SMTP, MX, SPAM etc)
  • Endpoint security solutions

Ideally you will have some knowledge of one or more of the following:-

  • VMWare Infrastructure administration
  • Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 and 2013 installation and support experience
  • Active Directory/LDAP administration
  • Networking Skills (routing/firewalls/switching)
  • Microsoft SQL Server implementation, configuration and support experience
