Our client, a prestige brand Motor Vehicle dealership based in Guildford, are looking to recruit a Bodyshop Panel Beater. As a key member of the Bodyshop Team the Panel Beater will be responsible for the repair or replace as necessary bodywork panels of damaged vehicles according to the instructions received or details on the job card. This will include chassis and framework.
Key responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
Dismantle and repair damaged vehicles by either repairing damaged panels or by replacing those beyond repair
Adhere to the manufacturer’s literature and modification bulletins as appropriate to the repair and to the replacement of chassis and panel work.
To ensure that all equipment used, to include jigs, fixtures and welding equipment, is operated in accordance with defined safety requirements.
To carry out work on vehicles as detailed on job cads, given to you by your supervisor, authorized by the customer, within the time allocated.
Ensuring any paint and materials used to complete the repair are dully recorded and fit for the purpose, disposing of displaced material in the appropriate manner.
Report to your supervisor any work found needing to be done not detailed on the job card.
Complete all necessary paperwork either during or on completion or work carried out in accordance with Company Procedure.
Report to your supervisor either when work scheduled is completed or there is a delay due for whatever purpose.
Contributing to the maintenance of a high level of housekeeping and compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental standards

As the Panel Beater you will:
Have Experience in a body shop or accident repair environment
Preferably be ATA Qualified, although but not essential
Have a Full UK driving license
Have good Attention to detail
Be Self-motivated and a Team Player
Working a 45 hour week, Monday to Friday with a rotating Saturday shift, the Bodyshop Panel Beater will be earning a basic of up to £27k / annum which with OTE can realistically uplift to between £33K / annum.
