Job Description

Our client based in Dorking is looking to recruit a Customer Service Assistant to join their small friendly team.

Your General job duties

  • Presenting the company in a courteous and professional manner at all times
  • Assisting with customers requirements from the shop
  • Answering incoming telephone calls from customers
  • Keeping the store looking clean and replenished
  • Dealing with transactions over the counter
  • Upselling where possible
  • Selling prescription drugs (If qualified, SQP qualification)
  • Supervise customers loading their cars and checking their receipts
  • Reporting any mistakes to the store manager
  • Report any breakages to the store manager
  • Comply with all on site health and safety, fire and first aid processes and procedures
  • Be present and ready to commence work at the specific time each day and continue to work effectively

Personal requirements

  • Equine experience ideal or a passion for horses.
  • SQP qualification (Ideal but not essential)
  • A customer friendly and focused attitude
  • Experience in a similar role
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to work on own initiative
  • A flexible and adaptable approach and willingness to learn new skills
  • Effective communication skills
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships

Hours – 40 hours per week, working 5 x 8 hours days including 1 weekend day a week

Salary – £ 22,000 p/a depending on experience
