Assembly Fitter / PDi / IVA Inspector
Hours: 39 hours per week
7:30am – 4pm Monday to Thursday / 7:30am – 3pm Friday
Salary: Up to £28,000 per annum, depending on experience

Our client is looking for a driven and experienced Assembly Fitter / PDi / IVA Inspector who obtains a clean driving license. Experience in fitting PDi is essential. This is a fantastic opportunity to enhance your knowledge and access excellent long term career prospects.
The successful candidate’s duties will include but not limited to:
- Carry out test / PDi inspections to ensure all vehicles meet customers’ expectations.
- Ensure vehicles are completed ready for delivery at the pre-determined date.
- Deliver vehicles for their IVA inspections when required, this will on occasions involve working outside of core hours.
- Assembly of all sub-assemblies and main assemblies in line with the defined process, including process sheets and assembly drawings to meet the production plan.
- To diagnose and report defects on all vehicles that are being made ready for delivery.
- To ensure all repair documentation is filled in correctly.
- Carry out inspections of body work.
- Take part in constructive liaison with workshop team to enable rectification work, they cannot resolve themselves, ensure all faults or discrepancies noted are corrected before the vehicle is passed to sales (pts).
- Take responsibility for maintaining the high standards of processes and product quality.
- Supporting the Company’s Quality Management System.
- Functioning in a safe manner taking into account personal safety and the safety of others in the workplace.
- Operating within the constraints of the Risk Assessments in place for the defined activities.
- Reporting all shortages, faulty/damaged equipment, dangerous occurrences, accidents, and injuries to the designated person.
- Responsible for maintaining a high level of housekeeping in the sub-assembly bay, assembly lines and general assembly shop area.
- Willingly carrying out any tasks which are deemed reasonable by the Management Team.
- You will have a willing attitude to learn and have an interest in mechanics.
Person Specification:
- Must be able to communicate effectively.
- A motivated and professional individual.
- Able to absorb knowledge effectively.
- Able to work with minimal supervision.
- An understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical circuits is desirable.
